What do our customers have to say?
I have known Michael [founder of MEM] since 1999 since when he has remodelled 3 properties for me. His experience, innovative thinking and cheerful professionalism have proven invaluable in planning, managing and completing these projects to the highest standards.
We engaged with MEM Property services through a word of mouth recommendation and immediately found Michael to be very approachable, knowledgeable and helpful with all aspects of our new build project. The old bungalow was semi-detached, so this required the development, liaison and implementation of a Party Wall Award, which MEM professionally and successfully managed on our behalf. We presented our detailed requirements to MEM and these were fully explored throughout the consultation process, the advice given by Michael and Andrew proving invaluable. Our principle objective was to get as much as possible right first time. MEM’s flexible approach, diligence, understanding and guidance throughout the planning process, enabled the plans to obtain consent at the first attempt. Throughout the construction the finalised plans were followed meticulously by our builders. We can honestly say that we had no issues and have been really delighted with the outcome and consequently have no hesitation in recommending MEM Property Services to anyone requiring architectural assistance and advice.
I previously used MEM Property Services (MEMPS) for a refurbishment and extension to my house in Dogmersfield, Hants and was delighted with the outcome. Accordingly, when moving to Kent I looked for another property challenge and was most pleased that MEMPS agreed to become engaged in a further refurbishment and multiple extensions project. MEMPS were involved from the outset. Initially, they undertook the building survey prior to purchase and had informal discussions with the local planning authority to determine the extent of any proposed changes particularly as we are in a conservation area. Having bought the property, MEMPS drew up and then submitted the plans for approval – an increase of floor area by 43.5% comprising of 2 extensions, demolition of an integral garage and the creation of a new separate double garage together with landscaping changes to the front of the house. Following such approval, MEMPS conducted a building tendering exercise and then project managed the builders with all stage payments being made against their agreed certificates. The lead project manager Michael attended the site regularly to review progress and was readily available to resolve any issues as they arose. MEMPS designed the oak porch and oak work on the garage, liaising with the specialist suppliers as required. We are very pleased with the final outcome and that Michael and his team readily understood what we were aiming to achieve. It is heartening that many of our neighbours have mentioned their approval of the changes made.
